All my saved data disappeared after playing Assassin's Creed II

It is the third time I have lost ALL progress in Assassins Creed II. It does not save, even after I make sure it is all synchronised. I also tried to save it in the cloud, but nothing works. Every time I play, when I come back, it is as if my session never existed, and it just says ‘session’ ‘session’ ‘session’.

I do not know what to do, I contacted Ubisoft support and they told me to 'Clear System Cache' and I have a very strong feeling this will not fix it. I was already at memory 4 and I do not think I can get myself to start it again without knowing that it for sure won't happen again.

I did some research and apparently is a problem since 2009 which I find insane that it keeps happening in 2021 so, has someone found a solution to stop it from deleting itself and/or to get your saves back?

(btw: it is the digital version in my Xbox 360)

I know right I also have done 3 games and it kept doing that I am too scared to waste another 10 hours

Same thing happened to me today for the first time. Thought I’d finish ac2 where I left off in 2015 on sequence 3

Played for hours and hours a day but then a message came up saying the game couldn’t save because the storage had been removed or something even though my saved progress was on the Xbox 360 hard drive. I quit the game and loaded it back up cause I was confused but my saved game wasn’t there. Might contact Ubisoft about this cause I’m p*ssed off.

I've done it myself I even deleted everything I had finished the game finally and I got the add on pack for 2.79 so I could use the flying machine again after I got the pack all my date was gone and I've got to start all again im nit happy at all this is the 4th time I'm gonna have to play this dking game I'm passed off I now make a backup on the safe side

jessiegabriyel This exact thing is happening to me on 360. So ridiculous! I've done the opening sequence 4 times already. Insane. I've tried saving in three different locations. The autosave icon shows up the whole time and never saves. I've cleared my cache and had no luck. I have found many PC people with this problem but we cannot perform their solutions. I was just looking to have a nice nostalgic time place ACII. This is making me sad.

Omg it is the most horrible thing but I found a solution to stop it from happening again!

I posted it in the comments. I truly hope it helps you as it helped me because I understand the frustration of going out of the game and seeing that it is all deleted every time.
