All my medals were reset

This problem happens when you play Gears of War 2 or Gears of War 3 offline using a lower game version. This causes your online multiplayer rank to be uploaded as zero (0), or another unknown issue causing service-side stats to be reset.

If online stats are lost, they can only be regained through continued online play. You can, however, reduce your chances of encountering this issue by doing either of the following:

• Make sure that both your Xbox and the game you're playing are current. (you can delete your cache before playing just once)

• Connect to Xbox LIVE before you begin, even if you're only playing a game by yourself.

Rank reset is a common problem in Gears 3. I do not think that deleting your account will get your status back if that is your aim.

If you search these forums, you will come across a lot of threads that speak of the dreaded rank reset problem. Unfortunately, there is no fix outside of having your player data profile backed up to the cloud or a separate USB drive BEFORE you were rank
reset.

my fiance's been reset twice now, rank to 1 all onyx medals except one gone, progress reset towards medals, all ribbons gone... sucks, cause we love to split screen gow3 were enjoying it til he was reset the 2nd time after the "patch"

it just happened to me that they reset my progress in gears 3 all medals time played all

Actually the fastest times are still there. It's the number of games played and number of wins that were reset, along with the medals.
