All my games are gone and don’t want to reinstall

That happened to my son about 6 months ago. He just turned on his Xbox and the games were all gone on the internal drive. We removed his account and did a hard reset and they came back so they weren't actually gone, but they weren't visible for some reason.

It appears to be a hardware problem, probably your drive is gone... try it on a pc to see if it is diagnosed as broken, or try to unplug and plug it back again.

Can you (just for testing purposes) unplug the Seagate hard drive and try to install one game on your internal hard drive?

If that works, try if it's possible to format the Seagate Harddrive on a PC, and do NOT use Quick format. With Quick Format, only the "table of contents" of a hard drive get overwritten, but by doing a "regular" format, each part of the drive will be formatted,
and you can check if parts of the drive platter became defective.

If the Format was successful, try to connect the drive to your console again, and have the console format it again for game storage.

If the drive shows signs of corruption or is unable to be formatted on PC, check on the Seagate website, if the drive is within warranty and can be replaced/repaired.

A repair upgrade will preserve all files, folder, settings & programs while reinstalling Windows.

However if you don’t want to follow the potential solution then I’ll pass if you don’t want help.

Is there a way to bring back the lost save? I was like 75% done with the game when my game froze so I quit to Home Screen and now my save is gone. I don’t really want to start the game all over again, and it sounds like this is only a way to prevent this from happening again?
