ALL my controllers LB/RB buttons unresponsive after not being used for a few months.

I dont see how i could manage dropping all three controllers while they were stored away. If thats the case, i wonder why all four of my PS controllers work fine if me dropping my controllers were the problem.

Fair enough, i guess theres some sort of standard procedure in these cases. Thanks for the quick answers! ☺️

Keeping those special controllers you loved is always important I'm sure you know.

It cost like a $1 or 2 (R15) for like 4 buttons which can be bought at your closest electronic store. If you have spares, it would always help. This is just saving you money.

I had the same problem. Though It's strange that it broke when it wasn't used. You must've dropped your controller. Mine broke because I over used it and dropped it a few times. My remotes hold up for 6 months and then I manually fix my remotes and replace
them with higher quality buttons. Your problem could've been a manufacturing problem or external problem( like dropping it). Though learning to fix your remotes on your own saves you a lot of money. Remember it's a tiny copper coil inside those buttons and
gets stuck or softens over time. Sorry for the inconvenience though. I'm sure Xbox is aware of their controller issues but there isn't much they can do if it's just because of overuse or gamers breaking or dropping their controllers not that your these kinds
of people its just for reference sake.

Ps and xbox are two different builds. The LBs and RBs have these arms where on ps its buttons. This is where xbox is trying to give a new feel to their controllers and trying to be innovative even though it might lead to the buttons softening up. A,B,Y,X
Buttons might get soft as well after tapping to much. Rims might get grinded in because of constantly moving the analogues. Nevertheless the dropping remote thing was examples to why it might of broken the stem of the copper and not the only or accurate factor.
I'll check into the problem though and see if i get more reports and see if I can speak to someone.

Although xbox has their controller problem I still support xbox because of the well kept servers and store.

Also I'm saving tons of money with game pass

I have been playing story mode to chapter 3

I can get to map menu but the lb and rb buttons are unresponsive to get to blueprint, player or other menus.

I can control everything on the menu except the rb and lb buttons don't work

Game is not freezing. Lb and rb buttons work during game play, just not in the menu

It's simply a flaw with Xbox Controller design. The LB and RB are connected by a thin strip of plastic and if this deforms from being held down for long periods of time or simply from even using the controller normally, it can cause LB/RB buttons to become
unresponsive. Best bet is to simply return it to Best Buy by filling in some details on their site since the controller should still be under some kind of warranty. Microsoft themselves likely won't take it since they weren't the direct seller to you, but
it wouldn't hurt to at least try.
