All my 3 XboxOne consoles show "There was a problem with the update"

Ok so I have bought 2 New Xbox One consoles from BestBuy online store and 1 New Xbox One console directly from Microsoft online store.

They were all bought in last 2 weeks. I ended up with buying 3 consoles because none of them was working.

I kept getting "There was a problem with the update" this message no matter what.

I followed all the instructions from Microsoft Support and had about 20 times of Chat support from Microsoft.

I spent total of 20 hours to figure out with these 3 consoles. All the Chat agents suggested me to return for repair or investigation.

And of course I tried offline update tool. I did all the processes correctly.

Now having all 3 consoles not working, I am little concerned that if this is MY problem, not XBOX's.

What do you think? Does anyone have similar experience?

It is Wired Internet and the connection is fine. USB all good. Everything all good. Don't know why.

Hey I JUST figured everything out. It was all because the school server. They had some sort of filtering/blocking and even the school's tech department was not sure what was going on at first. Anyway, yea everything is working now. (I bought a wireless router
and it's all good now.) taidara and Bimnog! Thank you very much!! (Before asking here, I could not even imagine it could be a school problem.)

By the way, the 2nd Xbox (from BestBuy) seemed not new. Although it was supposed to be NEW (not refurbished) and the seals attached to the box were all new, the console had some big scratches. So it was not NEW for sure. So disappointed to BestBuy.

Hi! I would just like to say same problem here! I bought my XboxOne last week. Played various games many many hours, ALL still show zero hours played time, nothing is tracked. July update do not fix this issue

no they are just refering to the profiles on this site being updated to show xboxone details now, still waiting on the gamercards to show latest xboxone games, so its getting there slowly......

To be honest I love my XboxOne but do feel that the whole showcase event was staged as it does not work half as fast or smooth as they showed but overall as a gaming machine it's superb and I'm sure if MS listen to the fans feedback within 12 months with
a few updates etc it will be superb,I would have it over a PS4 any day as the 3 people I know who have got them they have all conked out and needed replacing within a week but none of my friends XboxOnes have given them any bother
