all microsoft games crash

1.win 8.1 ver6.3 build 9600

2 toshiba laptop with amd cpu and radeon hd 8400 graphics all updated

problem has gone on for weeks or until last microsoft update

I have tried all solutions listed here in the forums but nothing works, tried the sfc scan and it says that it found corrupt files but that it was unable to fix some of them.

tried uninstalling and reinstalling them-nothing there as well as well as reseting the store and checking for updates-also nothing there.

I love all these games. minesweeper, solataire and majhong. pls help

Titanfall caused Xbox One to crash

Even consoles crash, NES, Master System, SNES, Mega Drive/Genesis etc all crashed occasionally.

Stability will improve over time with game and system updates from the developers/publishers and Microsoft.

 

It sounds like one of the more recent Windows Updates got "stuck". Even if you think it's fully updated, even with automatic updates, sometimes updates will fall through the cracks and the only way to get them is to "unstick" them.

Please do the following:

1. Press the Windows key
2. Type in Windows Update
3. Under the search bar you see on the right, choose Check for Updates
4. In the Windows Update screen, press the Check Now button
5. Even if it doesn't seem to find any updates, click on View Details
6. Install any updates you see that haven't been installed - including optional ones (This is SUPER important as some "optional" updates will break seemingly unrelated apps if they aren't taken)
   
7. Reboot

We know of at least one update that not only was "stuck" but it didn't even show up most of the time for users. So they thought they were up-to-date but they weren't. The rebooting part is also necessary as rebooting is the only way to completely restart
your Windows session. Setting it to "sleep" or even turning it off actually puts it in a hybrid-sleep state and it won't completely restart your session.

Hrm, let's try a fresh uninstall & reinstall of the game. All your progress is saved on Xbox so don't worry about losing any of it.

1. Uninstall Microsoft Solitaire (to uninstall, right-click on the app icon and choose Uninstall from the bottom menu)
   
2. Press Windows Key and R
3. In the box that pops up, type wsreset.exe and press Enter
4. The Windows Store will launch for you (with its cache nice and clean!)
5. Hover over the right-hand side to bring up the charm bar and go to Settings
6. In the Settings Menu, go to App Updates
7. In the App Updates menu, press both Check for Updates AND Sync Licenses
8. Press the arrow key at the top left to go back
9. In the search bar at the right, type in Microsoft Solitaire & reinstall

Let me know if you're still having issues but hopefully this will do the trick.

 

looked promising, but still didn't work. what i noticed is that when i open the game it loads fast unlike when i first played. i wonder if somethings not loading right.

the first says it doesnt apply to my computer and i dont think the second one did anything at all

lol Im not sure what fixed the games but I just did a pc refresh under recovery. unfortunately I lost most of my games and chrome but hey now solitaire and the other two games work.
