All images turned to random files and folders.

Ah well. Turns out I actually had the images backed up. Also I was able to format the drive. Thanks for your help.

I hate to give bad news but I'm afraid the function (which I forgot the name) that is responsible for doing all the organization of the files on the drive has been corrupted, that's why you're seeing these weird things. I think you can format the drive and it can go back to working normally and maybe recover the files with Recuva or some other software but it's a pretty boring process. If it's important files and you can't lose them at all, I recommend taking them to a professional who does file recovery.

Just to add on. It won’t let me delete the folder.

What am I looking for? All I see are folders with long filenames containing numbers and letters and a containers.index file, inside the folders are files that I need to choose an app to open, each folder contains files that also have names like the folder and one file that is called container.[random number].

None of the the troubleshooting tips are directed at my problem, I've already checked through them all. I am on Windows 10. I can navigate to the right folder, that's not the issue. My issue is the location of the folder. I would rather not have all of my recordings being saved in a temporary file. It makes it a pill to get to every time, and I want to save it to a different storage device to save space on my boot drive.





I've tried figuring out how to move the folder, but all it says it that I move the Captures folder it saves under to change it. But guess what, it's not under a captures folder, it's in a random temp folder that I can't move because it's a system folder.
