All I can say is wow!!

Okay so after 2 weeks of having the x1 I have had the black screen every day and voice problems. Now I have to keep resetting because the rumble in the controller stops working with Forza 5. This thing is such a piece of crap!!!

Can someone please tell me where I might find the controller settings on the system or in Forza 5 because I'll be damed if I can.

sorry to sound like a whiner but I have never been so frustrated from a game console in my life!!!!

I remember on resident evil 5 leaderboards the top player beat the game in 0 minutes and 0 seconds. lol

And still Treyarch will probably do nothing about it, even with the proof of cheating.

 

Controller setting should be in the game control option screen.

Try recalibrating your Kinect if you are having voice issues.

Check all your HDMI connections on your console and TV. The MS HDMI cable is junk. Try a complete power down, unplug the power brick completely from the wall and console until the light goes out.

Well, the xBox One is not crap, as millions of players, myself included, don't have any issues. Unfortunately, as with any electronics, there are defects sometimes, and I'm sorry about that man, it sucks that you have problems with yours. Where did you buy
it at? Maybe you can return or exchange it?

Wish I could be of help. I know others with the One who have issues like you. But I still picked one up. I did have a bunch of stuff I could not sell and no longer needed that allowed me to get the One and Donkey Kong for $70, taxes included. I messed
with Kinect but it was just ok. I do not really have an accent and I speak (and spoke) very clearly. It just was not that great.

For the black screen issue I have heard to unhook the power and then reconnect things. I know that does not always work though. I have read about this around quite a bit and I know some people with the issue and they seem to get things working again so
hopefully they can get this fixed with some kind of firmware patch. I had an AMD GPU that needed an update to fix such an issue once. After that no problems since so that is a possibility.

I am still trying to see if my issues with the blacks and such are something I can tweak. No issues with anything else but this and it is on every TV. Does not hurt things though.

take it back to where you bought it and get your money back, then buy another one from somewhere else so you don't get a x1 from the same batch.

 

i like how every problem thread consists of 1 person trying helping the guy while the others just come in to say they have never had any issues. Thats funny to me!

 

Instead of taking it back... Try making sure the Kinect plug is in all the way. I thought mine was as I had been using it just fine... Then I started having crashes. I gave the Kinect plug a shove, and it went in just a tad more, and I felt a click.

Also, try switching to power saver mode, turning the Xbox off, and on again... Don't change it to "fast boot" and see if it keeps happening. Yes, boot times will suffer, but if it stops the crashes, it's worth it imo.

I've heard the March update addresses a few of these issues. I think the update is slated for March 4, but just like the Feb update, it could get delayed... I'd suggest waiting to see what the update brings. Just my suggestion though.

 

The update will hopefully be out before titanfall drops or there will be a lot of angry people not being able to play with there friends

He has a point with the black screen. I get it here and there ever since the update.
