    Here is the scenario: i play most of my xbox one games offline and most are discs. Ive had my xbox one for nearly 2 years now but it isnt used very often. Recently i was playing fifa(offline and a disc) when the game froze. I didnt think too much about
    it(the console is well ventilated). The next day the game froze repeatedly and there were only a few seconds before each freeze(the disc is undamaged). I began to try all the other games and each began to freeze. Ive tried all the trouble-shooting i can find,
    cold and hard resets, clearing the cache, removing my account, re-installing my games, reset and keep games and apps and finally a full factory reset(to name a few).the console is now extremely slow and prone to freezing even when there is no game on. The
    console doesnt even react to the controller sometimes. No game works at all. Ive realised it must be a hardware issue but i just wanted to know if there is anything else i could try and what the best plan if action from here on. Thanks.

    You will need to make sure your console and controller have the most current updates. Make sure the controller is pluged in with the provided USB cable before updating. Hope that helps

    I have also tried this. I regularly go online to ensure i have the latest updates. Both the console and controllers have the latest updates.

    The xbox is in a large, cool and well-ventilated room. It is also clear of dust. When it does freeze the console isnt very hot or the fan isnt loud.

    Thanks for the quick response but your first solution doesnt work as most of the games are being played offline and network connection doesnt affect performance. As for the second solution i have a second mint condition controller that i know works(ive
    used it on other consoles to be sure) and i believe the problem might be lag from the console responding to the controller. But you must understand it can sometimes be minutes until a simple action is performed, so i cant tell if it is lag or the screen freezing.
