All games defunct on menu screen

Every game on the console loads like normal, but as soon as the menu shows up, the controller seemingly loses function or an endless loading symbol persists.

For instance, when Minecraft loads, the main menu comes up and the cursor doesn't respond to moving or selecting. Not only that, but the circling boxes symbol signifying loading doesn't stop.

While some games like Dying Light simply just never stop loading.

Every game on the console is behaving like this.

Please respond with a solution.

Stuck on menu screen

i am literally stuck in the menu screen as the title suggests. Says "loading" but never does. I've tried rebooting and no success either. Anyone help?

Can you please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down? Hopefully that will solve the issue for you.

Tried the hard reset already. I expected it to work since it worked for so many others, but sadly it didn't.

I also tried exiting all apps.

Is there anything else? And would a factory reset be possible? If so, how do I back up the installed digital copies of games I already have?

You could try the hard reset again but this time while the console is turned off unplug everything from it and let it sit for 5 minutes.

If that doesn't work a Factory Reset may be a possibility for you. To save your downloaded games get a USB 3.0 compatible hard drive that can range in size from 256GB - 16TB and move the content onto it before doing the reset.

When developers goes defunct it makes it a bit more complicated to get games to the Backward Compatible library. In this case the developer of Cars Race-o-Rama is Incinerator Studios that went defunct in 2017.

You'll have to contact THQ Nordic, if they still have the rights to DAH2. To see if they'll add it to the back compat lineup.

Seeing as how THQ went defunct in 2013 and Pandemic went defunct in 2009.

I actually just emailed them after the previous reply and on the website it's a game under their list of games so i would assume it is and the fact that the first destroy all humans is backwards compatible already so i would assume they still have the rights.
