All games and data lost

Hello,

I hope someone can help me out. My son woke up this morning turned on his xbox one and nothing. It was like he was turning it on for the first time. All games and data are not there. Any ideas and /or solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again

Hello, Do you know if the console did an update recently? I would unplug the external hard drive and replug and check it again to see if any games show up. What kind of hard drive is it? Are you in the Xbox Insider Program?? I know when mines updates sometimes
it doesnt show any games and a simple unplug of the hard drive fixes it. Dont try starting any new games, just try to see if its syncing the data for the game. Thats always stored on the cloud.

Is this for Xbox One? I think you need to sign in and make sure the game syncs so the data will be loaded.

Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out. First we want to make sure the hard drive is being

detected and we want to check how much space is being taken up. If you can see a good chunk of that space being used but still can't see any games or apps, the data may have become corrupted. At this point the best option would be to format the hard drive,
but this will be a last resort as it would for you guys to redownload everything.

OK, thank you for your help. Apparently, I made this post without all the pertinent info. It is not the console itself, it is the xbox external hard drive that is no blank. He had a majority of his games on the hard drive due to lack of space on the console.
So any suggestion on how to proceed? Again, thank you for your help.
