Every. Single. Gamertag. Is. Taken.

To whoever thinks of creating an account these days, Just dont. There‘s no hope for your favourite Gamertag anymore, since the most Account‘s have 0 friends, gamescore and so on. Some of these Gametag‘s accounts dont even exist. Why can‘t you use Names multiple
times? Only one gamertag i found working, this one:

ffjfjfjff

nothing more. That‘s right. Just this one. While you are reading this, probally this one‘s taken now too.

This is just lame from Microsoft, make gamertags usable a couple of times! We all are really annoyed.

Im not going online with my lame gamertsg. Never.

Seem‘s like im changing back to PlayStation. Call me when they fix this stupid Gamertag problem.

How do you get someone's gamertag that hasn't played since xbox original and has no games, rep, avatar or gamerscore??

You don't, unless Microsoft is willing to delete them which I doubt will happen anytime soon though.

What's even more annoying are those Microsoft "Zune" accounts. It's people who don't even play Xbox at all but their usernames are also gamertags, so you can't use them. Microsoft tried to make it easy for those who do use both, so your names are the same, which is dumb imo.

Names are names you will just have to be more creative with your name

This is a problem with all system's because ALL names must be unique at least xbox recycles eventually unlike psn and you have the option to change your name

if the system says it's taken, then it's taken. The tag system is in use on other Microsoft services, so even if it's not in use on an Xbox, it may be in use somewhere else. The system also doesn't see things like spaces as making a gamertag unique. So while
you might look up "gamertag" and it doesn't show up, it might actually be in use as "gamer tag".

They could be in use on the Zune, as that shares the 'gamertag' system.

I was in a live chat with a xbox support person, this is what he told me "I was able to checked the gamertag that desired to change with. Actually, that gamertag is already taken and it was not listed on all the gamertag that was taken because that gamertag
is already deactivated by the system and since gamertag is not for recycle all we need to do is to file a dispute to our Enforcement team for them to allow us to re-use this gamertag."
