All drives not showing up

We understand that you are trying to download your games however the storage cannot be located. Let us check on this together so you will get back to gaming.

May we ask if you already have formatted your external storage device as NTFS? Please check here for guide: How to format a USB flash drive or external storage device to NTFS on Windows.

Is this PC personally owned or company/school provided or connected to companies network.

Suggested Troubleshooting:

Keep your PC and Xbox apps up-to-date. Please use this guide: How to get software and driver updates for Windows devices.

Go to Settings > System > Storage > Change where new content is saved (under 'More Storage Settings'). Change the setting "New Apps will install to:" to the drive you want to use.

Restart device.

Turn off or disable any antivirus, antimalware, VPN, firewall and PC Optimizer.

Launch Xbox app and check if you can detect local storage.

If his drive shows up as unformatted, there's no point in buying a transfer cable. Your drive is gone, as well as all the data on it. Buy a new drive.

if you try powering the xbox up without the external drive do all the games show on the internal drive all of the time, i am wondering if its struggling to read the external drive sometimes and thats causing it to stop loading up all the installed games
whether internal or external......

Also, make sure to use the browser in your desktop, not the metro version. Metro doesn't support add-ons; only desktop version.
