All chat functions not working?

Hi there, so resting your Xbox does not affect account based settings such as privacy settings. I’m am going to try my best to continue to help you with this, I’m going to ask you for some more information. DO NOT share any personal information here.

Does this issues only happen when voice chat audio is going through the headset? Or does it happen when going through your tv speakers as well?

Does your headset have independent volume controls? If so, is the volume too low or off?

Does your Xbox Console give you an option to adjust the game and chat mixer on your headset? If so have you adjusted them properly?

I am the adult and I’ve already changed those and they are all set to allow everyone. I also had reset the console which should have reset those settings as well, correct? I have never adjusted those in the first place so why would they change? Any other thoughts?

Hi there, it’s sounds like your privacy settings are preventing you from accessing voice chat. You should be able to change this on your privacy setting for your account on your console. If this is a child account you may need the adult account to change the settings for the account.

Are you using the chat mixer to change the balance between party and game chat audio? That function makes a beep when you max out the mixer function to all game or all party chat audio.

okay also I have updated all 3 controllers to work with stereo headset adapter......now I get no chat sound out of the chat headset even if all other controllers are off. does the chat headset no longer function with the new update?????????
