    All Apps within "My Video Apps" are non-responsive/freezing


    This just started happening this morning on my xbox 360 S...whenever I click on any of the Apps within the "my video apps" section, the screen will freeze for about 30 seconds, and then I get an error message saying the app needs to be connected to xbox
    live. I am connected to xbox live and have double checked my network connection and everything is fine...my kids are able to access the same apps on our xbox one downstairs. This happens with all apps (YouTube, Netflix, Vudu, Microsoft Movies, etc....)

    Is something wrong with the console or is something wrong with the xbox live connection specifically for xbox 360?

    Video apps freezing

    When ever I go onto an app on my Xbox One that includes watching a video (eg YouTube, Twitch, WWE network) it freezes up and the picture loops over the last second or so while the audio is still playing in the background as if the video is playing normally,
    this also sees to happen when watching live streaming on Twitch. Games seem to work fine. Anyone have any ideas that could help me?

    all these apps are terribly designed. they should be as quick and responsive as the dashboard but they are no where near that

    How do I classify videos as movie or tv so they appear with purchased movies or tv shows?

    The Movie and TV sections of the Video app are for the marketplace only. You'll find all of your non-Xbox Live purchased/rented videos located in the My Videos section.

    I am having the same problem with my Kinect and Xbox One X. The app used to work just fine, however within the past several months the "webcam is being used by another app" comes up, freezes the kinect image, and even with using the video button on the
    app to "reset" the camera...it stops working. I have tried the fix you provided to no avail. The forum is useless as this particular issue is either non existent or unable to be seached for.

    That being said, what is the reason for the this glitch? Has there been an update to the app/Xbox OS that we aren't aware of? Is there interference with having a phone and/or computer with Skype running in the background somewhere else? Please advise because
    whereas Skype used to be my go to app for video calls, I am looking elsewhere due this failure.

    ime getting the same problem every other video works including internet app they work perfect but videos on youtube app keep freezing all of a sudden i dont know what is happening

    Finally, someone shares my frustration on this app. Agree on all your points, alot of time it just sits and buffers and not actually play the video or will stop in the middle of the video and then start buffering. Another thing is the FREEZING, i can run
    my xbox for hours no problem on any other app or while gaming, but 20 minutes on this app and it freezes the xbox regularily.

    Another thing that sucks about this app is the recomended videos dont change unless you restart the app, when before the update the recomended videos would change every video i watched (which only makes sense!).

    Id hate to see microsoft get rid of this app because of the IE app, since the app is easier to use than the youtube on IE.

    Who decides these "updates" anyway? I want a job where i can get paid to just muff everything up lol...
