all apps and features need to be optional not forced

I want apps and features that are not needed for system operations to be made optional even when setting up my xbox console or pc they should not be pre installed and updated without consent, because features like popular now and trending allow people that
I have blocked and muted to share their content to any device that supports this feature, even when my privacy settings do not allow sharing or viewing shared content and when I apply the option to not be allowed to add friends because there is no option to
stop them from adding me I get blocked and muted players that are being sent to me as suggested friends and signing out my profile allows skype to sign me back in even though I don't have a skype account, now while these apps and features can be plainly seen
but powerless to stop its the apps you cant see that needs a security overhaul such as the preview team app which during one of my regular complaints to customer support was made aware that I was apart of, after I explained I wanted out of this membership
which also included my sons account I was asked to go to my games and apps so I could unsubscribe from the preview team then all I had to do was go to the preview team app and follow their directions, easy enough except it does not appear on my console and
never has and my Microsoft account did not display any preview team membership now or ever but customer support insisted it was there and I should take a closer look so I suggested a remote connection to my pc so they could locate it for me but that option
was not available to them but they could remove me when the next dashboard update was to be installed but two updates have been installed since then and I'm still waiting two months later

AsmileyFish, your premise is flawed. "No one should be forced to buy optional hardware." If they're being forced, it's not really optional, then, is it? You call it optional because you think it SHOULD be, not because it actually is. I'm assuming you have
access to the UI source code?

 

Lower Price?

Its only been a couple months. A price change is far from appearing. Though many dislike the kinect being a forced inclusion, considering how most (if not all) apps and games have some sort of optional kinect feature. Added to the fact that by forcing this
accessory developers have a target audience to work with, even if there is no one in a sense. Great move by Microsoft from a buisnessman perspective and a gamer (who doesn't use it much between minor commands and saying "Over Here" in dead rising..
