    All A/V gone!


    Last Monday I turned on my Xbox One and there was an update needed so I installed the update. I was busy with my son the rest of the evening until my wife and I went to bed. When I went to bed I turned on the TV that the Xbox is connected to and there
    was no audio or video out of my TV. I unplugged the HDMI from the Xbox input and plugged my cable box directly to the TV and the TV was working fine. The rest of the week went by and I had no time to play on the Xbox until last night, and when I turned it
    on there was no signal. I have tried unplugging the Xbox power supply from the wall for several hours to be sure it was completely discharged and plugged it back in and there was no change. I have power cycled the system multiple times, and that did not
    work either. I also saw a video online where a guy hit the power and eject buttons at the same time to do some sort of reset and that did not work either. I have changed the HDMI cables, the Input on the TV, and even tried a different TV. Since none of this
    has worked I am now trying this to see if someone else has a fix for what now seems like a $500 anchor for a small boat.

    i've had that happen to me twice, or something similar at least, unplugged the power brick from the outlet for a time, reseated the HDMI cables, still no audio or video.

    what ended up working for me, and don't ask me why this worked, but i had to unplug the power brick from the back of the console instead of the outlet, then i heard the X1 bootup sound, but the screen was still black, then i reseated the HDMI cable on the
    back of my receiver again, then the picture came back.

    you could also try the offline update tool, it will wipe the system, but might get you back and going.
