this is for the people who cant play Xbox 360 games online with the Xbox one compatibility lets get some traction and let them know how ticked off we are guys at there shoddy programing

hello, would like some help regarding the multiplayer xbox one, my live functions normally and my internet too, only the function of online games with destiny, and forza sniper elite are not working. HELP

Hey TRUxiPROxPUNISH,

That just means you aren't signed in when you start your backwards compatibility games. Just because you are signed into the Xbox One does not mean the Xbox 360 emulator will sign you in automatically. Press the menu and view buttons at the same time while
playing any BC title. This will bring up the 360 Menu. If it says Connect to Xbox Live you will need to select that to connect. If that doesn't work, perform a factory restore from the Settings - System - Console Info and Updates section. Make sure you select
Keep my Games and Apps if you have to perform this step.

Before trying a factory restore, you can also head to Settings>System>Storage & select "Clear local Xbox 360 storage", then try launching an Xbox 360 title and see if it allows you to play online afterward. It's like clearing the cache on an actual Xbox
360 console, which can help in cases like this.

That is correct. All original Xbox game no longer have Xbox LIVE functionality.

Xbox live is still fully functional for Xbox 360. Save yourself $60 and rebuy the games for that system.

All those games you listed seem to be compatible with the Xbox 360. I can not understand or indeed explain why only Halo and Halo 2 are functioning but nothing else does. However, what I do know for a fact is that for the Xbox 360 to achieve full backwards
compatibility with the original games on the BC list, it must have a fully working and 'official' Xbox 360 hard drive.

You've said that your hard drive is official, how do you know this? Did you buy your console new with the 120GB hard drive, or did you buy it separately? Bear in mind that even if you go to the settings screen and look at the hard drive, the 'Microsoft' name
next to HDD on this screen is no guarantee your hard drive is official. All Xbox 360 hard drives say 'Microsoft' here, even the fake ones.

I would say that fault is with the hard drive. It's not an issue with your console. The 360 achieves BC entirely in software, software, that is only available on a fully functional official Xbox 360 hard drive.
