Alien: Isolation

It is a good idea and hopefully plays well. I just want to know how long it is and if there is any replay value with it. Otherwise I won't spend $60 on it.

The games aren't too bad they can just never do everything right . They only seem to be able to get certain aspects right. Colonial Marines was a massive PR mess though. Nothing that's been done can save that game.

Hmmmm, I would have to hear some pretty good feedback but this trailer didn't do anything for me. I'll just wait for the next DS game (whenever that may be).

 

It looks good, but I've been fooled by trailers before & narrowly avoided making the mistake of buying the last game. For this reason & the history of Sega with the Alien franchise, I'm going put this firmly in the "wait & see how it goes after release"
category. If it turns out to be good, then I'll consider giving it a purchase, but not until then...

 

i'm being cautious on this one not to get too excited ... i'll wait to see more. the last few Aliens games have been forgettable.

 

Actually like the idea of just the one Alien and judging by that video it does look tense and scary. Look like a proper survival horror game.

 

Now if only the Kinect can do something with the players heart rate. We might have a great game.

Sounds like your running around a space ship with only one alien a threat to you living or dying. Could be good but is there only gonna be 1 alien??? because the title says it all... alien isolation...doesn't say aliens...how are they gonna itch the whole

[/quote]If you watch the video he says there's only one Alien, but there will also be other threats on the station. But not all games have to be all about killing, some of the best games I've played you don't kill anyone.

If they get the atmosphere right and that sense of dread about opening a door, walking around a corner or seeing a shadow you think is the Alien, this could be a very good horror survival game.

I know I shouldn't get my hopes up, but it's a different studio making it, so I'm hopeful they might just get it right.
