    *Exasperated sigh*

    ANOTHER evening lost because of Microsoft's inability to make anything that works.

    I'm trying to load Alien Isolation on my laptop. I pay for the Game Pass subscription and have previously been playing this game without any issue. Now, when I try to load it, it just says 'We are unable to sync your data with the cloud at the moment.' and
    therefore can't load my save.

    WHY?!

    My internet is working perfectly fine. I have no VPN. I have tried turning off my firewalls. No difference.

    I'm able to load the Microsoft Store, I can load the Xbox app and see my achievements, OneDrive and Office Apps all sync and work fine (for a change).

    WHY CAN'T I LOAD MY OWN DAMN SAVES?! I'm so sick of the fleeting bits of spare time I ever have being lost to this rubbish.

    My data sync was stuck at 100% and then said that they "were unable to sync your data with the cloud just now". So I would suggest that this is not just a Turn 10 problem Evoded and it may be worth speaking to support again.

    I try to start it, a smaller window overlaps, says, "We are syncing your data, please wait....we will be done soon." Several seconds later it replaces that message with "We can't sync your data with the cloud right now."

    Lost Save Data

    Your saved games data is stored in the cloud as well as the HDD if you delete the saved games data from HDD by accident it will sync from the cloud, at the moment there is a service alert which could be causing your problem.
