Just completed the main game on hardest setting. No spoilers here, don't worry.

I just want to say that this game, the story, the authentic Alien movie atmosphere, everything about it is truly outstanding. This is in my opinion, THE BEST entry in the 'Alien' franchise since the movie 'Aliens'.

If you are a fan of the Alien movies, or sci-fi, or survival horror you absolutely MUST play this game.

Just started playing this yesterday and god the atmosphere is creepy. Being a bit of a wimp I'm not sure how far I will get on this game lol.

Hello everyone

This question is geared towards those that have already completed the game at least once. Without revealing any spoilers, how long hard would " Alien Isolation " be if Amanda Ripley was armed to the teeth with a Pulse Rilfe, Shotgun, and Service Pistol?

With one alien, I imagine it wouldn't be that long, Lei. It's just a matter of who gets the drop on who 1st.

I'm only on mission 5 which is very early going and it has taken me about 5 hours. It's a one hit kill from the Alien so you have to sneak very slowly. I can imagine it being shorter on easy or medium. It's such a fun game. It's very very intense.

I've never felt such dread as I have from the Alien in this game. Even more than the enemies in Outlast. When the Alien is looking for you is very stressful. It's really well done when it's running in the ceiling and searching. When it sees you though, you
can basically only say "holy....."

If Amanda Ripley was armed to the teeth like in my post, I would make as much noise as possible to lure the Alien in and completely unload my Pulse Rifle on it

It would work too because since this is the Alien's first encounter with Amanda Ripley and since the Alien has been running amock uncontested; it would come under the assumption that it was just going to claim another victim. Not going to happend LOL

The game remains a stress-fest on Hard but it's a very enjoyable stress-fest.

Getting the Trauma Kit was just insane. The Alien is brutal with it's speed and alertness. I tried to throw a Molotov once and it was behind me and eating my brain before the thing hit the ground.

Most amusing of my recorded clips is one where this guy roaming the station is confronted by the Alien and gets his face bitten off. I'm hiding under a hospital bed down the cooridoor and just managed to see this happen.

I said "XBox Record That"... and it did... but because of the Kinect Noise sensor the Alien also heard me and in a flash was under the bed with me... eating my face... again.

Cannot get over how great this game is.
