Discus and support Alias has been taken, but not by me in XBoX on Mobile to solve the problem; Hi, I'm trying to add an alias however, my account has already been taken although I'm not the one who has taken it.     Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with changing your alias on your Microsoft Account.

    Unfortunately, if you receive the message "alias has been taken" you will have to use another email.

    Note:If you choose to use an alias that uses a Microsoft domain such
    as @hotmail.com, @outlook.com, or @live.com, that alias is taken up by the Microsoft Account. If the email address is a 3rd party such as @gmail.com, @msn.com for example may be used on another account already.

    And by the way when you try to change the email alias it keep saying that the email is taken...
