    Alexa turn on Xbox requirements?


    Maybe an obvious answer, but I wanted confirmation; does your Xbox console need to be in the low power mode (the one where it will download updates while you are away and go into low power when idle) for the Alex "turn on xbox" command to work? I can't
    find a list of requirements anywhere.

    My Xbox is configured with the on or off power setting; so when it's off it's not reachable over the network. I'm not quite sure how else Alex would communicate with the console unless over IP network. Note that Alex can issue commands to my Xbox after
    I have powered on the console using some other means.

    Also worth noting is that Alexa skills are currently only available in the US and UK.

    It definitely has to be on the instant on mode for this to work. I use it too.

    Hey there Antman,

    Sorry to hear you are running into this problem. When you are Trying to use Alexa, If you do have your settings set to the Power save mode then Alexa won't be able to reach your console. In this case you would need to have the Power Mode for the console
    set to "Instant-on."
