    Hello. I recently bought the PC game pass. Among the games I was interested in playing was the Alan Wake. When I want to open it, it tells me that my system requirements were below what is needed. Even if I set all the specifications to the minimum I still
    had fps problems. This is impossible since the game is quite old and my computer is decent. I leave below the specifications of my computer.

    Thank to your coment I sorted it out. It was exactly this. Micorsoft store was using the integrated graphic card instead of the GTX 960. To solve it I followed the steps here:

    Hi,

    That's surprising for such an old game. Do you have any idea what the FPS is?

    I agree with Tezzarrific, it maybe badly ported - a common issue with Game Pass titles on lower end machines. It shouldn't be a problem with an eight year old game though.

    However if it's saying your machine doesn't meet the requirements then something else is amiss here.

    It sounds like the game isn't picking up your GTX 960M and is instead running on your laptop's integrated GPU (or iGPU), which on a i7-6700HQ is an Intel HD Graphics 530. If that's the case, then your performance won't be great at all.

    To get the game to detect your dedicated GPU make sure:

    • You are plugged into the mains when running games.
    • Changed your laptop's power settings to 'Maximum performance' when plugged into the mains supply.

    Be aware that even when you get the game to detect and run from your dedicated GPU, maximum graphics at 1080P won't be realistic for a locked 60 fps experience. You'll still need to lower this a little to 900P (1600x900).

    you should be able to run that quite well on that system, if its the gamepass version then it may be a shoddy quick wrapped port over from xbox with limited graphic settings.

    How is your graphic driver version?

    You could try to download nvidia geforce experience program, and update the latest driver. Then reboot your pc and try to execute game again.
