Airmech is Free 2 Play

Yet Xbox live seem to have to have their greedy hands in on this also.Making it not a so called free to play game.Why you ask?Im paying for internet already.Now im being told i need to pay for xbox live gold to get my internet access on my own xbox.there
are some really stupid people in this world that they cant see their getting rammed in the *** by microsoft.Microsoft you should be sued for your *** greedy ways.Don't put AirMech on xbox if you want to be this way.Xbox live has got to be the biggest scam
out there to this day.

AirMech Arena is Flying on to Xbox One This Spring

Ubisoft has announced that AirMech Arena, Carbon Games' free-to-play real-time strategy title, will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in spring 2015. Featuring transforming weapons called AirMechs, the game sees you protecting your bases while taking
over fortresses.

AirMech Arena features nine AirMechs to pilot, each with their own unique abilities. They can deploy defence units from the air and transform into ground mode in order to destroy enemy units on the frontlines. You'll also accrue experience and earn kudos
with which to unlock upgrades, new units and pilots. You can also acquire skins to customise the look of your AirMechs.

There are also quests to complete and rewards to earn in solo mode, or you can team-up with up to four buddies for some online co-op action, where teamwork is vital to success. Online ranked matches, sparring in unranked practice mode and spectator mode
round out the package.

 

It's been a pay service for over 10 years, the best thing to do would be to assume that you need a Gold subscription.

Did it not mention that the game required Live Gold before you purchased it?

Free for Gold members is not hard to understand........ You need gold for multiplayer... You are paying for the servers. Not a lot of single player only free to play games

The platform you play on is your choice..... Try Bing or Xbox rewards to earn Free gold

As you have a completely free choice for yourself to buy gold or not it is not a scam at all.

Over here in the UK there are now hundreds of free TV channels, but you still need to buy a licence to legally use a TV or risk getting a fine of upto UK£1,000 which is US$1,632.

Now that is a scam!
