Discus and support AHHH...Not Again!!! in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; The Xbox is plugged into its own designated outlet. It is in a TV stand with a fan for air circulation.     The Xbox is plugged into its own designated outlet. It is in a TV stand with a fan for air circulation. Perhaps that is not enough. I don't know???

    AHHH...Not Again!!!

    Your cooling should be sufficient.

    If it's hard drive failure the two primary reason are heat and power surges when it occurs so frequently. Is it plugged into a surge protector? Any energy hogs (frig, AC, washer/dryer, etc) plugged into the same circuit? (that may mean all the outlets on
    an entire wall or room depending on how your place is wired)

    Plugged in in the living room. I have a television, xbox one, and onyx whole home audio plugged into the living room. They are on separate plugs, however they are all in the living room. If I had a suspect it would be the onyx whole home sucking a bunch
    of juice.

    Normally the devices that cause issues are big, like the compressor kicking on and off in a frig or AC unit. It'll cause a fluctuation in the power and can corrupt the hard drive.

    Is it plugged into a surge protector? If so we just ruled out the above and it may just be bad luck.

  10. Dude I'm on my seventh console since launch day. Every time it has been a different issue. I finally told the people down at the Microsoft Store in my state that I want a newer console than what I had been getting since the lot numbers and manufacturing
    dates were all within 3 months of launch. They got me switched out for a Sunset Overdrive bundle and gave me a standalone Kinect sensor to make up for the lack of one in the SO bundle and I haven't had an issue since.

  12. This is why I got the gamestop warranty for both the PS4 and Xbox One. It's just peace of mind knowing that if anything went wrong, all I have to do is go to a GameStop and exchange it for a new one instead of sending it to Sony or Microsoft and waiting
    for them to fix it then waiting for it to get back.

    However, I remember Sony was just sending out replacements to those who had issues with their launch systems, whereas Microsoft just tried to repair them.

    Incredibly bad luck. The X1 power brick has a built in Surge protector so I would rule out anything to do with that.

    Yea it's a bummer. Especially since the only reason I stuck with Xbox was for Halo. I was going to switch to PS4, but couldn't abandon the Chief. Point being, I'm going to miss the Halo Master Chief Collection launch (tomorrow) by about three-six weeks.
    Galactic Geek that digital coffee was cold, it froze up in the middle of drinking it.
