Agreeing to new terms of service to update/download apps

How do I find these new terms of agreements? I logged onto the xbox homepage only to have it decide that Titanfall was more important that the terms of service for me to agree to. How on earth do I find the terms of service to agree to so I can download
apps?

When I try and agree to the terms and conditions, it says that I need my parent account to sign in. The only problem being that I created the account when I was over 18, and so I do not have a parent account. I checked on the Microsoft account settings and
my account does not have any child accounts either, so when I try and sign in again with the "parent" account, which does not exist so I just use my own account, it says it is invalid.

If you're sure 100% that there's no parental e-mail assigned to the account then you will need to
contact phone support. You will not be able to find the promote account option until you actually are able to agree to the terms.

 

Where are you being told to accept the Terms?

Are you not able to accept them from the phone itself?

If Xbox.com is not re-directing you automatically to the relevant page, try
http://Xbox.com/TOU or, if that does not work either, see if
http://windowsphone.com (same log-in info) will re-direct you instead.

In cases like this, you may be unable to download apps because either you or your account are indicated as a minor. If you could possibly post the complete error message you get into this thread, it would help me determine if this is the case or not. That
said, I will continue to assume the error is "The terms of use must be accepted before you can buy this item. Ask your parent to go to windowsphone.com to accept the store terms of use".

IF YOU ARE A MINOR: You will need to have your guardian setup "My Family" for you (the steps for this are here

www.windowsphone.com/.../my-family-on-the-windows-phone-website). If this has been done, then you only need to go to the "My Family" page from windowsphone.com while logged into the parent account and click "Fix it" next to the icon of the child's phone.

IF YOU ARE NOT A MINOR: You may have the wrong account on your phone. Make sure the correct email shows in Settings > Email+accounts > Microsoft Account. If it does not show the right account, you will need to reset your phone. Otherwise, if the correct
email is displayed, you have entered the wrong date of birth on your account. This will also require you to reset your phone, only you must also make a new account at signup.live.com.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE: Resetting the phone will erase all data on the device. This can be done by going to Settings > About > Reset your phone. Be sure to backup any data you need to save beforehand.
