Agent locke really sucks

this is one of the worst characters in recent fiction ever, Microsoft, PLEASE make 343 stop ruing halo. They're utterly terrible and they're losing you more and more halo fans by the day.

Hey, Here's an idea, let's replace the most **** main character in gaming (masterchief) with an ugly bald guy that can't act worth a ***! (agent locke) Great idea 343! Really, truly you guys are on fire. Thanks for the coaster Chief collection too, I see

Master Chief not the star of Halo 5?

after the master chief collection they don't deserve ANY fans!

 

Master chief collection wasn't made by them and i am a great character better than Master Chief was through 1-3 being a sterotypical FPS hero with no character development. If you really listen to the voice youll see he's acting cocky towards Sangheili.

 

I agree. Locke is a shallow character. ONI says that Master Chief is bad and "Yes Man" Locke will take care of it. I thought that the 2nd trilogy was Master Chief's story, not Locke. PLEASE, PLEASE, dont make me play Halo 5 from Locke's POV.

 

If it's not MC and it is played through Locke I won't buy the game. And I have every game up till now. I'm sick of the filler games get me MC or go under.

 

Halo 4 wasn't 'too bad' considering it was 343i's debut for the series, but I wasn't that impressed with it.

I'm hoping that the 'worst' they'll do is have us play as both Locke and MC, similar to the way we played as Arbiter in H2. That would be [just] tolerable for me, I guess. But some of the latest trailers aren't doing anything to get me excited... in fact
they're doing the opposite. The whole Nightfall depiction of Locke is that of a person who gets the job done no matter what, but at least has enough character to want to understand the whole situation and do what's right and best for all, if at all possible.
At least that's my take on it.

The new videos, one from each [Locke's and MC's] perspective don't show me the Locke I've come to know (albeit I don't know a whole lot). His dialogue just seems to have a lot more 'yes man' mentality than I expected.

As it stands right now, if they were to release no more info, trailers or ads, until the game came out, it would be the first Halo in the series that I won't be pre ordering until I see how well received it is by others.

Sorry 343, unless my perception of the whole "Locke vs Chief" aspect solidifies more before launch... I'm not biting. I want to play Halo, not 'guess who', when it comes to a character I'll be playing as.

 

agreed. stoic boring 1-dimensional character with robotic delivery. every single character in the game is more interesting...even the brainless flood are more interesting.
