Age restrictions - unable to use Beam even after changing birth date.

My main account is working perfectly fine since Beam was introduced for Ring 1.

I have second account originally created as child account and I want to use Beam service there.

Changed account to adult by changing birth date and re adding to family as adult account but still neither can join Insider program nor use Beam service.

    - Insider center says I have to be at least 18 years old

    - Beam returns "please try again later" error.

    - Beam Website says "you are not old enough to use this service" when I want to sign in with M$ account.

    I have tested on:

    - Windows 10 laptop

    - Windows 10 Preview build laptop

    - Xbox One S - Ring 1

    - Xbox One vanilla - Ring 4

I have been on phone and chat with Xbox Support. From their end account seems to be "adult".

    Any advice?

    :)

My account says I'm a child but the parent account says I'm a adult and I can't change it.

When your account was created, it must have been a child account. Until the original birth date that was used when the account was created, reaches the age of 18. Your account will remain a child account until that date. Changing the settings of the account
to Adult settings, does not make the account an adult account. Nor does changing the birth date after the fact. Again, you'll have to wait until that account reaches the age of 18 based on the original birth date of the account.

Becoming an Adult Account to change gamerpic to a custom gamerpic photo

Sorry to hear it. Changing the date of birth doesn't age your account up though. Once the date of birth is set it cannot be changed on the account and it must age normally.

Age restrictions - unable to use Beam even after changing birth date.

Sorry to hear it. However, changing the birth date for the account online does not change it for the Xbox account. Once set, a birth date for the account must age naturally and cannot be altered. As such, even though you may have changed the date online
it is still read as the age you originally set it to.

    Age Resrtiction Problem

UPlay has a age restriction of 18. The age is set by the age associated with the gamertag being used. There is no way to change the date of birth on a Windows Live (gamertag) account.

Why can't change region and date birth

I set my birth date to 2016 by false and now can't change anything like region and date birth

    Anyone help please
The date of birth on your xbox profile will always be set to the date of birth originally chosen when you created your account. Even if you change the date of birth on your associated Microsoft account.

If you have account restrictions due to the false date of birth then changing the date of birth will not lift those restrictions.

    Privacy Setting Issue

After you reach the age of adulthood, you can promote a child account to an adult account. This promotion removes the Family Settings and Xbox LIVE restrictions. To promote a child account to an adult account, Sign in to Xbox LIVE by using the account that
you want to change. Go to Settings, and then select Account. Select Promote Child Account.

Note This option is available only if the date of birth for the account indicates that you have reached the age of adulthood . The legal adult age varies by country and region. The age of an account owner is calculated by using the date of birth provided
when the account was created. This date cannot be changed. If you entered an incorrect date of birth when you created the account, your only option is to create a new account using the correct date of birth.

Follow the on-screen instructions to promote the account.

allowing my son's account to download mw3 elite content

if the accounts date of birth makes it under 18 then you may not be able to use the service as the age rating for the game is 18, even if you de restrict adult content.if the account is and 18 or over account then the settings can take while to change.
