Age restriction changing and cannot change it back

During the night I went on to youtube but it said that it is rated above my age restriction even though it was the last thing I went on yesterday, I have hard restarted it

You changing their Privacy Settings from Child to Adult doesn't change the account status to adult itself. So pretty much their accounts are still child. It will be possible to change it to adult as soon as they reach 18. If that is the age of an adult in
your country ofc. You cannot change that setting manually. The restriction on downloadable content stays locked until they reach the required age depending on the content age restriction.

EA puts a age 13 restriction on the account. You cannot change it you have to make a new account. Its their policy

 

If you are logged into your YouTube account while browsing the YouTube app, age restrictions might apply to the signed-in YouTube/Google+ account. If not, then it is probably getting age details from your Xbox Live account.

Either way, you'll need to make sure your birthdate settings are consistent between accounts and you are of legal age to watch restricted videos.

 

What I mean is that my age restriction has changed without me doing it on my account and now I cannot change it back by my self and it says that a parent must sign in and change it on the family settings but I cannot do that as I do not know which family
I am in as I'm not in one with anyone in my family that has an xbox.

Please give these steps a try:

• Remove your Xbox Live profile from your Xbox One Console
  
• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One until the console completely powers off
  
• Re-add your Xbox Live profile to your console

Sorry to say this but this also did not fix the problem as it is still coming up with the same message and I am still unable to change the age restriction.

Can you check if you see any a Parent/Adult account when you go to the link below.

account.microsoft.com/family

If yes, you may want to edit your privacy settings using that account by going to your Xbox One > Settings > All Settings > Account > Family > Choose your Gamertag. You'll see your options there to change the maturity rating and Privacy & Online Safety
options.

If above steps don't work, try removing your account from the family and check if you can manage these settings on your own. If not, re-add your account to a Parent/Adult account.

Hello I have found the parent account and it is someone called Ben Chapman, I have no idea who this person is and I tried to do the steps that you sent in the email but when I do go onto the family settings I cannot click on anything and there is no option
to remove my account from my family but if the parent can only do it then I am pretty sure that this Ben Chapman has hacked my account.

 

In this case you may want to get in touch with our friends from the chat or phone support so they can give you alternate options.
