    Age of Empires IV game files going missing


    I have Age of Empires installed from PC game pass, but every time I turn my PC off and back on again the game files are missing and when I try to open the game it takes me to the Microsoft store page for Gaming Services and gives me a 0x80070002 error code and I have to verify and repair the files for the game which the xbox app will then proceed to download roughly 38gb of files all over again

    I have tried all of this and none of this worked. The only solution I found was to verify and repair the game, but then it downloaded 40gb of the game again and to that everytime a turn my computer back on is not feasible

    Restart your device: After installing any update, restart your device and then try to start the game

    Manually update Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables: Make sure you have all the files necessary to run the game. You can find the latest Visual Studio files here

    Delete the Age of Empires IV folder: Go to Quick Access > Documents > My Games. Locate and delete the Age of Empires IV folder

    Run the Microsoft Store troubleshooter: Go to Settings > Update & security > Troubleshoot > Windows Store Apps and click Run the troubleshooter

    I want to install a game WITHOUT the DLC but i don't see this option in the microsoft store

    On Xbox App, the base game file size is 86.21GB while the free Age of Empires IV: 4K HDR Video Pack is 132.44GB.
