Age of Empires II Definitive not downloading.

Hi, really getting to the end of my tether with this issue now.

I purchased AoEII DE on 13th Nov and preloaded, began playing on 14th with no issues. On the 15th (following title update) the game would not launch, instead taking me to MS store page for Gaming Services which was already installed so I uninstalled the
game and attempted to reinstall. Since then I cannot install from MS Store page (getting the message 'Try again later, something has happened at our end') or through the Xbox (Beta) app (getting the error code 0x80073cfc).

I looked up the FAQ for this issue on the AoE website and none of the suggestions worked, referring me to contact MS support. They did not even seem to understand the issue, giving me troubleshooting advice for Xbox One consoles and contacting my ISP to
open all ports as they thought Xbox Live wasn't working (it operates fine on both my xbox and laptop) assuring me that it must be related to the game so to contact the developers. I've posted on AoE forums to no reply.

and have tried the first two steps that did not work for the author. However upon attempting to try the third successful app in his case, I cannot locate the Gaming Services app to perform a repair and reset on. It is essentially a kind of 'hidden app' that
although I have installed, I cannot find anywhere in my files or by searching in the command bar, and additionally cannot find by searching the MS store. The only way of finding it for me is by going back through past downloads and selecting it which takes
me to it's Windows Store page but does not allow me to view or change its properties.

I literraly have no more ideas as to what to do and where the game was working on release day with no issues it is noow completely bricked for me. I've tried downloading other games (Crackdown 3, Gears 4, Candy Crush) which both work fine, AoE will just
not work.

Edit: Just tried Outer Worlds and Gears 5 too which cause the same error messages.

I would be eternally grateful for any help.
