Age of Empires 2: DE unable to run

Hi,

I've purchased AoE2E through Microsoft website about a month ago, and at first everything goes on smoothly.

Then I don't play for some time, and when I tried to launch the game yesterday it wont run.

First Microsoft Store pops-up, requiring me to install 'Gaming Services' app.

This is where the problem begins. This 'Gaming Services' will never download (I've turned off my firewall just to be sure), and thus I can't run my AoE.

Does anyone experiencing the same issue?

Anyone got this to work?
I think I would have to rebuy the game on steam, **** Microsoft.

So, you actually don't need a CD with windows, the windows 10 has a recover tool that reinstall the windows via cloud. Regarding the softwares, only games are erased mate, but your apps, files and data are preserved.

Step 1: Click Update & security on the Settings page to continue.

Step 2: Click Recovery and click Get Started on the right to continue.

Step 3: Choose Keep my files to reset your PC.

Step 4: Read the subsequent messages and click Reset.

After the computer has restarted successfully, you have refreshed Windows 10.

sorry I forgot to update here. I did contact my regional Microsoft rep, but the technical merely suggesting me to reset Microsoft Store with 'msreset' command.

Still it doesn't solve the issue.

I do agree, purchasing something from Microsoft Store is such a pain in the *ss.

I'll do well to avoid them next time.

How could I do that mate? Because I bought the laptop with Windows already installed, I dont have the physical CD (but its genuine Windows with license).

Also let say if I have another software (games, antivirus,etc), do I need to install all of them again?
