Afterglow AG 7-AG9

We are recently having problems with our Xbox One suddenly not recognizing the headset. Doesn't pop up with the little "Headset assigned" notification and it doesn't show up under the accessories.

Have any of you experienced this? We've had this headset for over a month and it worked great. As of yesterday it quit working sound and all. Nothing happens at all as far as the headset goes, we've done all the troubleshooting as well as trying all the
usb ports. Nothing works.

Boyfriend is having a meltdown. Can suit up for COD. xDD (Not literally, just beyond irritated)

I have the AG9 solid headset and yes complete wireless. I'm happy with them personally. They are on par with my wireless Stealth 500p i use for my PS4, but not quite as good as the XO7 i have for my X1, but i still use the AG9 because no wires. Can't go
wrong with them at that price. I paid 50 for mine (was on sale for 99.99 and I had a 50 dollar reward cert from best buy, very happy with them

EDIT: just seen why the bump,

Do a hard reset (turn off xbox, then unplug it for a minute, then plug it back in)

turn it on and wait for boot up, then plug in the head set dongle, then turn on headset

I would suggest a restart like Upinya Slayin suggested. If that doesn't work, possibly the the headset needs to be re-paired to the dongle.

On a side note, been using them since March 4th and no problems. Great battery life and completely wireless! Don't see me not using them unless they come up with a mono Bluetooth earpiece.

Hurrah! My order came early from Walmart; wasn't supposed to be in until the 5th. Picked them up and was excited to get home and try them out! Got out the old trusty knife and cut the security tape on each side, opened one end and slid the cardboard out,
and stared in AWE!!!! Even though the box said AG 9, there was nothing resembling that model inside.

What did I get you ask? Don't really know. Lol. The headset states Afterglow on the top, the mic is non-removable, and for the MOST amazing part...it's freaking wired! No dongle, just wires. I don't believe they were switched at Walmart, because I cut the
security tape; flawless, no wrinkles, etc.. PDP support closed at 5, so guess going back to Wally World is in my day for tomorrow.

Edit: Upon further inspection the security tape was cut on both sides on the bottom.

Went to Walmart today and got it all sorted. Was worried I'd have to wait to the 9th to get a new pair, as the website said they were out, but they got a shipment in last night. They were very nice about the exchange. Had them open the new headset up at
the counter....score...good to go. Charging them right now.

They came with a 6' charging cable, a cable for hooking them up to smartphone, removable mic, the wireless dongle, and a $10 gift card for use on the PDP website. Build quality seems very good! They seem comfortable also. Can't wait to try them out; maybe
tonight or tomorrow before work. I'll leave more feedback later for those thinking about getting them.
