Afterglow AG 7-AG9

Hello! I was at the store today looking up "totally" wireless headsets and these looked like a pretty good bargain; AG 7 $79.00/AG 9 $89.00.

I believe a forum regular has a set of these, so his feedback would be appreciated; others too!

They sound good? Difference between the two, and is the extra $10.00 worth it? Battery life? Durability?

Been playing some Black Ops III and finding the wired headset very annoying with all the tangles.

Best over-ear headset?

Afterglow AG9, completely wireless, $100 in the US or £60 in the UK.

They don't have some options the more expensive ones do but value for money, sound quality is excellent and they do an amazing job.

I think I might have mentioned I have the AG9's a little but not to often.

The difference is the AG7's are the older model and the AG9's were built to fix the problems with the ag7's, the ag7's have a small mic boom you can't disconnect, which is far away from your mouth so you can appear quiet, the AG9s have a detachable boom
which is longer, the also have more cushioning and the cups are bigger, all of that is from watching you tube reviews mainly.

The sound quality is excellent, they are very comfy (if you have big stick out ears it might be an issue), you just have a dongle you put in the console and your away nothing more, instant setup. The only downside is the mic has to be really close to your
face to have mic monitor. You can plug in you iphone but it seems to switch the game sound and mic off. Battery life is 16 hours ish, I have got into the habbit of charging at night with a usb from power point.

Can't recommend them enough.





I know they retail for $100 in the US.

I think you'll be presently surprised when you get it, they are amazing value for money.

Hurrah! My order came early from Walmart; wasn't supposed to be in until the 5th. Picked them up and was excited to get home and try them out! Got out the old trusty knife and cut the security tape on each side, opened one end and slid the cardboard out,
and stared in AWE!!!! Even though the box said AG 9, there was nothing resembling that model inside.

What did I get you ask? Don't really know. Lol. The headset states Afterglow on the top, the mic is non-removable, and for the MOST amazing part...it's freaking wired! No dongle, just wires. I don't believe they were switched at Walmart, because I cut the
security tape; flawless, no wrinkles, etc.. PDP support closed at 5, so guess going back to Wally World is in my day for tomorrow.

Edit: Upon further inspection the security tape was cut on both sides on the bottom.

Went to Walmart today and got it all sorted. Was worried I'd have to wait to the 9th to get a new pair, as the website said they were out, but they got a shipment in last night. They were very nice about the exchange. Had them open the new headset up at
the counter....score...good to go. Charging them right now.

They came with a 6' charging cable, a cable for hooking them up to smartphone, removable mic, the wireless dongle, and a $10 gift card for use on the PDP website. Build quality seems very good! They seem comfortable also. Can't wait to try them out; maybe
tonight or tomorrow before work. I'll leave more feedback later for those thinking about getting them.

Want to again thank EnenDaveyBoy for the recommendation; the AG 9s are an awesome buy. Hooked them up my Lumia Icon to listen to some tunes and to make some trial phone calls, hooked them up to my P.C. for the same thing, then to the X Box One; sounded great
on all three, and the people I was talking to said I was clear.

Still wanting a single ear headset (If they ever make one.), as I'll be using the AG 9s with one cup off most of the time because I don't want to be that tuned out of the household; though do like the immersion when I'm the only one here.

The only bad thing I can think to mention...I don't think I can ever go back to a wired headset. Lol.
