    Hello,

    After the August-2014-ish Xbox One software update, once I watch live TV through the Xbox One console, I'm thereafter unable to turn off my television or switch the input on my television.

    The issue only occurs once I've watched television through the Xbox One console. (It doesn't occur if I use the Xbox One console in any other way, such as playing games, using the apps, etc.) Once I watch TV through the Xbox One console, I can't turn off
    my television or change the TV's input using *anything* -- be it the Xbox One controller, the DirecTV remote, the TV's remote control, or even using the controls on the TV set itself. I've looked at the settings options on the Xbox One console, but I'm not
    finding any relevant options to fix this problem. So, ultimately, once I've watched live TV through the Xbox One console, the only way that I've been able to fix this issue is to turn off the power bar into which the Xbox, TV, and DirecTV box are plugged.
    That resolves the problem until I watch live TV through the Xbox One console again.

    I'm pretty much convinced that this is an issue with the recent software update, because this was not an issue before that. If you have any suggestions about how to fix it, I'd really appreciate that. For whatever it's worth, my TV is a Samsung UN55B8500
    LED TV.

    Hi.

    I bought Xbox One one day edition in pre order, until this day when I'm playing my XOne, independent of game or time the screen and audio turn off about two seconds, after this, audio and video come back , but the game did not stopping.

    My XOne is updated last version.

    I changed HDMI cable, and TV and nothing change.

    But Only in Xone, in X360, PS3 and WiiU is normal.

    What can Be?

    Brand new issue as it always been ok before Xbox One to 8300 HD Explorer Pass-tru

    As my spouse open up the TV and Xbox one as done thousand times before since the Xone is sitting side to side with the Explorer 8300 in the living room... Just now the DVR keeps switching between inputs and lagging image without any sound... Tried to force
    inputs of 480i and p as 720p or 1080i... Nothing works but only not using the TV pass-tru Xone feature...

    Since I was subscribing to auto-update of Xone... Is there any new update as of today that would be the root of the problem?!

    Black screen when XBOX turns on my TV. Works after I turn it off and on everytime.

    I have done all suggested options and still the same result. The only way for me to see what my xbone is doing is to turn off the tv and turn it on again after I turn on the console. I have unplugged it, Reset it, used different HDMI cables, changed
    inputs on the TV and nothing works. None of this happened until after the update.

    well sometimes my TV does this as well, so i either turn it off then back on or try changing the channel to watch TV to see if the sound comes back on. I have to change inputs for watching TV or playing that might reset the system as well.

    It's also worth checking your TV settings, I recently purchased a Samsung ES8000 TV and for about a week my wife would call me at work saying the TV kept turning itself off, turned out there is a setting on the TV that turns it off when no interaction is
    received from the user after a set period of time such as changing channel/input source etc.

    I solved this by having two outputs from my cable box. HDMI to the XB1 and Component straight to the TV. So if my kids want to watch TV I switch the input over to Component and they have full control of the TV while I am streaming games from the XB1.
    I can also turn off the tv and stream without a problem. It will initially turn on when I boot up the XB1 but I just turn it off after it starts.

    Then I can also watch TV while grinding my RPG games :)

    Xbox One select correct receiver input?

    Instant on is set to turn on TV and open TV app. Occasionally, it will turn to my xbox360 input and will still show cable. A much improvement after I had changed the TV input name from 360-wii. The 360 is VGA don't know why the xbo would start up that input.
    I'm hesitant to change it from the TV's natural 'game' for the video settings.
