After update, screen dims when watching Netflix

Has anybody had any response for this dimming problem during streaming video. Very frustrating.

 

I think I MAY have found the issue, and the only fix is to restore the older Kinect drivers where the gestures are activated. With the Kinect no longer seeking any movement in the room, the system thinks the system is not being used and needs to sleep. The
sensitivity of the Kinect before the big update was more sensitive and able to detect the smallest movement, which it would keep the system active. I also think this is part of the backwards compatibility mode, where the Kinect changes from the X1 to X360
with a very different mode, which is damaging the way the X1 operation is designed to be used. Here, I think the system should have a manual software switch where the software imulator asks if the user wants to turn on the X360 OS before the 360 games can
be played (rather than automatic).

The way to PROPERLY do this is have the boot sector partitioned where at startup, it will ask the user to decide whether the X1 or X360 OS needs to be booted up where it looks for certain drivers and programs. Typically, apps like netfflix or similar aps
will be used with X1 and not X360 so the X360 imulator only has games on it.

 

Still having this issue. Microsoft nerds to fix this ASAP. I'm unable to watch anything longer than 10 minutes without having to turn on my controller and flip a thumb stick to wake the Xbox up. MAX FRUSTRATION

 

This just happened to me too. January 2nd...... never happened before. Hope they fix this soon.

 

Issue is still happening. Has Microsoft acknowledged the problem yet?

 

Happening to me while streaming videos from my PC.

I am also having the same problem, 4 months later. I recently upgraded from my Day One Xbox One to the Elite console. Now my kinect AND my mutimedia remote only work part of the time. Voice commands are finicky.

 

My xbox one is now having this same issue. Watching Netflix, 10 minutes or so later, the screen goes dim. This just started yesterday for me. VERY ANNOYING.

 

Just unplugged the brick from the xbox and the outlet, waited around 5 minutes for the brick to lose power, fired it back up. Watched 20-25 minutes so far, and no dimming.
