After the September update, controller is disconnecting all the time!

Same Problem after the june update!

I had this controllier issues with my Xbox 1 Day 1 Edition about three month ago,

so the support replaced my controller and the xbox.

It worked for about two weeks,

since i did the june update, the controller disconnects again all the time .

Same distance problem here.

Microsoft keep asking what I'm most looking forward to at E3. My reply is a fix to the controller disconnect saga. Don't care about any games they have to announce, fix your *** console!

 

Just a update, all 4 of my controllers still disconnect.

Day One headache.

 

I've sent 3 in and everyone disconnects.

I probably won't be sending in anymore since it costs me $5-6 each time I send one in since they won't give me prepaid postage

 

Why is there still no solution to this issue??? If it's software, why hasn't this been fixed? And if it's an inherent hardware issue why hasn't there been a recall/replacement? I want to buy games such as Elite Dangerous that was announced yesterday at E3,
but won't cause I tried playing the trial and kept getting disconnected mid-flight. This is absurd.

 

Well I'm scheduled to send mine in as soon as possible, just set up a service session over the phone as Newblacksmurf recommended. I was politely adamant on the phone about having my specific console repaired, but I got the "we can't guarantee that" story.
I will be adding an extended letter inside the package politely explaining I would like my console repaired, detailing the issue I've had and what I've tried, the link to this thread on the forums, and the apparent solution that replacement of the wifi board
will resolve the issue. I suppose that's the best I can do at this point.

Prior to the service call, I played 25 minutes of Borderlands: The handsome collection and I had 3 disconnects 10 feet away within that time. Is there anything in particular I can do to make my point more clear when I've sent my console in?

 

Mine (DayOne Controller) doesn't disconnect (did early on but have since used a usb) as I have it via a usb plug, my issue is the motion control. If the game is intense where I'm moving the controller around a lot, it brings up a menu for short cuts on
the fly and then it drops me out of the game and back in, and back and forth for about 6-7 times before it then snaps friends. I turned off kinect thinking that was the issue but it's still doing it. I just want the *** controller to be a controller and
not rely on hand gestures or controller gestures.

 

I used to enjoy playing xbox one, been an xbox user for over 10 years. Switched from playstation to xbox. With having this controller issue, it's almost making it unplayable. Barely play anymore even though i want to and enjoy it.

Never thought i'd say it but I wish I would have just went back to playstation and got the PS4 instead. I hope they figure this bullcrap out soon before I just get rid of the system or throw it in the garbage.

From reading through the comments it seems like sending it in to get fixed won't really fix the issue..maybe for a week or 2. My warranty on it expires in about 2 weeks..so not even sure what to do.

 

Dude you better send it for repair while yours is still under the warranty.

 

Does that actually fix it because from some of the feedback here it seems like it fixes for a week or two?

 

Yes, but there were some who have their console fixed for quite a while now. No harm trying though. It's the last choice anyway. I'm yet to send mine because mine has expired. Could cost me £80++ based on my conversation with the customer support the other
day.

 

Oh that sucks man sorry to hear that, that's how it usually goes with it breaking and warranty expiring at wrong time. Yeah i guess it doesn't hurt tying since i still have warranty. Thanks .

 

Hi eveyone wanted to say I'm in the same boat as every one tI red everything and today I thought of some thing what I did was set set a wireless connection on my xbox one (uaslly hardwired) and played around of cod then went back in to network settings
and disabled wireless connection Pluged my hard wire back in got back on live and had no disconnects in 4 hours so far (been disconnecting every 15 to 30) and so far none at all hope this works for everyone I think it's some kind of bug. Can anyone eles try
and let every one know that it worked for theam I'm hoping this helps everyone

 

Has anyone contacted a lawyer about these issues? It will take something of this nature to get this resolved. If anyone can recall Microsoft adamately denied that the RROD was a widespread problem until literally forced to address it.

I have a day one console and have been having these issues for quite some time. 136 pages on problems on a forum and it isn't being taken seriously? That is insane.

 

Sent my console off to be 'fixed' 3 weeks ago, upon receiving the 'repair' the controllers still disconnect. I've turned off every device in the home and my mobile and they still both disconnect every few minutes so it can't be interference. Spoke with Microsoft
and sending it in yet again to be 'repaired'. I hope it's fixed this time otherwise I'll have to go down the route of trading for a ps4 as it's unplayable at the moment. Shame because I'm looking forward to Halo 5 etc. this problem really does need to be sorted
it's a bit ridiculous having to send a supposedly repaired console back a week after it's been 'fixed'.
