Forza 5 stuck at 0%

If you bought the disc version and want to play immediately. Remove Forza 5 disc from console. Plug out your ethernet cable from console or disable wi-fi. Hard reset the XBOX. (press down xbox light on console for 10 seconds). Turn on the console, remove
Forza 5 partial install. (click menu on Forza icon and select cancel / delete)

OK. after this point, insert Forza 5 disc, it will not ask for an update (obviously ) and it will install much much faster... You still have to wait about 5 minutes until you can start playing but at least it will not stuck at 0-1% for hours...

Later on, if you want you can enable Internet access and update your game but only do this after install reaches 100%.

Thanks, tried the power cycling and still had the problem. After thinking about what changes have been made (i.e. updates that have been applied) to the system over the last few days, I decided to uninstall Forza 5. This seems to have corrected the problem.
Not exactly sure what it was about the Forza 5 install that contributed to the problem, but it's not hanging for now.

This has happened to me several time.. power off the console and unplug from power, plug back in and power on.

The games seem to get stuck when they are trying to do a game update and it's not successful. Only a cold boot of the system seems to sort this one out. If that doesn't work, then deleting the game and re-installing it should definitely work as a last
resort.
