    i thought the 360 games were platform agnostic. no way of redeeming the code and then DLing it to the 360 after the fact??

    Need help redeeming my xbox live code

    I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

    so what the... what do I do now?

    Hello! Have you looked at your account to see if your subscriptions are indeed active? To do so on Xbox One, sign into your profile and go to Settings -> Account -> Subscriptions and see if they are listed. On your PC, sign into https://account.microsoft.com
    and go to "Services & subscriptions" in the top menu. If you don't see the subscriptions you redeemed there, go to your order history; this is best done on PC by signing in and going to Payments & billing -> Order history. There you can see any content you
    have redeemed via redemption code.

    If the content you redeemed is not there, contact Xbox Live Support for further assistance. Contact Us | Xbox Support

    How do I check the free Minecraft game code still works?

    If the code has been used, then after you click on the button to redeem the code, it will show an error message that the code has already been redeemed.

    If the code however "goes through" and shows for what the code is, you can abort the redemption process, and still use or sell the code.

    Just make sure you sell it to an honest person, and ideally you are present when they redeem the code on their account.

    Otherwise the person could go home, redeem the code, and then tell you the code didn't work, asking for a refund. After he has redeemed the code, you have no means to check if he really redeemed it, or if the code had other issues.

    Did you redeem the code before December 31? The offer expired on that date. So if you redeemed the code after that date, you would not be eligible for the codes.
