    After purchasing and downloading the game I get the "Wrong region" error


    Hi,

    I've recently bought and downloaded FIFA 18 for my XBOX 360.

    My console was purchased in the US but I currently live in Israel.

    I purchased the game digitaly from Microsoft, downloaded it to my console, tried to launch the game but all I get is an error saying " This disc's region code is incorrect for this console".

    My console region is set to Israel and so is my Microsoft account.

    Any ideas?

    Bought Sonic Unleashed for the xbox from xbox.com

    And well it gave me an region error, my billing address is same as my region (Australia) and i've cleared my xbox's cache, but still didn't work.

    I'm not sure if it has something to do with purchasing the game in the wrong region. (the wrong region being the US)

    Problem Downloading Cod Ghosts

    I still believe it is due to you changing regions after purchasing but before downloading.

    Sorry to hear you're having trouble. The issue you're experiencing is due to the region code of the game. The console was purchased in the US which means that it can read games formatted using NTSC whereas Israel uses content formatted with PAL. This
    includes digital content. The only way to play the game is either by purchasing a 360 console in Israel or trying to get a US version of the game.

    Hi!

    FIFA 18 is "region lock", in this case, even if your account is set up correctly, your console can only boot NTSC games. Having purchased the PAL version of the title, the console can not start the game. You will have to ask for replacement of the product.

    Issue in re downloading Skyrim on Xbox 360, re download restarts at 79% every time...

    It's the issue

    First and foremost skyrim is region locked

    Because you changed regions after your purchased the game that's why you aren't getting the region error

    If you read the region migration. Tool warning it does state region locked content won't transfer

    And yes skyrim is a confirmed region locked game as others who have mismatched regions got the 8015017 error before purchasing

    Of course your issue is after purchase

    Unfortunately the only way to download it again you have to migrate back to Australia and physically be there to get the content again

    FYI that's why it said to redownload your content before migration unless you weren't physically there when you did a migratipn

    After playing with the menus it did download...not sure what did the trick...but now I can't play the game because it says wrong region! The region is NOT wrong - I'm in Israel, bought the game for this region (paid in shekels!), the console says the region
    is Israel...What's wrong!?

    Just for the record, this issue was NOT related to region problems.

    After a few (or maybe a LOT) tries, I could download both games.

    Now I'm getting the same error while trying to download Assassin's Creed Black Flag, while with Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel I'm getting the region error.

    And, as I have friends with the same problem as mine, I assume that there are problems with Microsoft servers.

    Also, I have done modem resets, cleared cache, erased the incomplete game files, etc...

    Conclusion: When you get en error BEFORE the download starts = Region issue.

    And when you get an error AFTER the download starts = server issue.
