After Power Outage, Xbox One Won't Turn On

After a recent power outage during a storm, my xbox ine wont turn on. After I plug in the AC adapter, the xbox one fan inside the console spins up feal fast, then when I try to turn it on, three xbox one light go and makes a noise, but shuts off right afterwards.
If someonw could help that would be great. Also I have a third party AC Adapter

Sorry to hear it. Can you please try leaving it off with all cables unplugged overnight and see if it works in the morning?

If it does not then you may need to set up a repair of the console.

Hello, it sounds like the 3rd part adapter your using. Try using the official Microsoft adapter that came with the console and see if that works. My guess is the adapter because I don't know of any 3rd party companies making an adapter as of yet but I could
be wrong. See what happens though when you try the official MS adapter though. Good luck!

Thank you yea I tried a friends and this was the problem. Ill have to get an official one from somewhere

Oh good, I'm glad it worked. Your console didn't ship with the original power adapter though? That's weird. Anyway you can try to give phone support a call. They might send you one out for free but don't quote me on that. It's worth a try though. Just call
1-800-469-9269 and see what they can do.

Thanks for the reply! I've tried power cycling and trying other wall outlets, but nothing has worked. The power supply still stays solid orange. I think I'm going to look for a replacement and hopefully that's it, I don't think there's much more I can do as is.

May be fuse blown, was it on before outage??

Ah, these seems like it may be the issue. I'm gonna look for a replacement to see if it was just the power supply, and hopefully not the console itself. Thanks!

The power supply may have defective electrolytic capacitors. This may prevent devices from turning on after a power outage (I've had that happen many years ago with a JVC SVHS video recorder after unplugging it before going on vacation). If possible, try hooking up your console to another power supply to see if it will work and if so then that likely confirms that your original power supply has to be replaced (It's not likely worth repairing given the cost of parts/labour).
