After MS Security Update, Star Club cannot be played anymore

I have played Star Club for several months, not on a dailly base. After the MS Security patches of April (it can also be March or May) when clicking on the Star Club icon, Star Club is minimized. Opening the window results in the welcome screen where I once
again can click to start the Star Club Always with the same rrsult... I still can see my statitics of Star Club. Removing and reinstalling Sollitaire Games gives no solution, also all solutions I've found on this forum I have tried. On another Windows 8.1
workstation (with the same configuration as mine) I can continue playing Star Club on my account, so it is linked to the installation on my workstation, not linked to my account. I don't hope the only solution is to reinstall my worksttaion from scratch. Any
    solution

    :)

  2. Problems with Microsoft Mahjong Data Downloading

I don't think it has anything to do with a recent update. I cannot receive automatic updates from the App Store. I must manually turn my firewall COMPLETELY off (hurray security!) and then Check for Updates in the Microsoft App Store manually. I have not updated
the Mahjong App since it was installed weeks ago. This appears to be an issue with syncing data from the Star Club part of the game that pushes the daily challenges from some other source.

  3. After system restore, Solitaire Collection progress is lost

    More info:

    - I replayed one game in the Star Club

The star count in the app was updated correctly. The one in the xBox account was not updated (I thought it's fair enough as the level should already be included in the 301 stars)

    - I played a brand new Star Club game (one I haven't played before)

The star count in the app was updated correctly. The one in the xBox account wasn't even though I expected it to be updated.

    Hello RikCarole,

This behavior is typical of an update that failed to install properly or got stuck somewhere during the process. Please try the following steps to make certain that everything is fully and completely up to date:

    1. Press the Windows key

    2. Type in Windows Update

    3. Under the search bar you see on the right, choose Check for Updates

    4. In the Windows Update screen, press the Check Now button

    5. Even if it doesn't seem to find any updates, click on View Details

    6. Install any updates you see that haven't been installed- including optional ones

    7. Restart using the restart option from the shutdown menu.

Then please try these steps to make certain that everything from the updates is properly synched:

    1. Press Windows Key + R

    2. In the box, type wsreset.exe and press Enter

    3. This will re-launch the Windows Store

    4. Hover over the right-hand side to bring up the charm bar

    5. Choose Settings

    6. Choose App Updates

    7. Choose Sync licenses

If you find that these steps show that you are completely up to date, then please try the following refreshed installation in order to fix any possible corruption in the game’s files. Uninstall the game and then restart your system by selecting the “Restart”
option from the shutdown menu. Once you’re back up and running, press the Windows Key+R and type wsreset.exe in the dialog box and press Enter. This will refresh and re-open the Windows Store app and you can reinstall the game.
