After Latest Update, 320 GB says it is Unformatted

After the latest update, I noticed all my games were gone. When I went to investigate my hard drives the 4 GB and the 320 GB, it states that the 320 is unformatted. My 320 is a original Microsoft product. I removed it from my Xbox 360 and reinstalled with
no change. I went to my download history and everything is there but I will not be a happy camper if I have re-download everything and lose all game progress because of a required Microsoft update! My profile is normal and allows me to sign in.

just as the title says. I updated my xbox yesterday 8-29-2013 and everything was fine. why did it need another update today (8-30-2013) is all i am wondering. What did these two updates do for me or my xbox. Not trying to be rude i really want to know what
they did.
