    After every update, no signal to screen for days.


    After EVERY single update on this unit, after 'install' I lose screen signal and the Xbox hums up and down slightly. Then, it sounds like it spins the hard drive for a couple of secs.

    Power button stays solid green and it sounds like the hard drive is reading.

    This is on my 250gb unit, my 4gb unit never has this issue.

    This is infuriating because it happens every time and I have no clue how long until it becomes responsive. But it is days, not hours.

    No video signal so I have no clue if there is a code.

    After update screen went to no signal!

    I just done an update and it came up with an error STUPIDLY I didn't write it down! Then once I tapped ok my tv screen came up saying no signal (like the xbox had been turned off) the xbox fan is still going and the power button is still glowing green, my
    power pack is green and my control is just flashing all four green lights! Please help!

    Solitaire Update failed Game No Longer Playable

    I attempted to update the Solitaire Collection. Update failed and game no longer playable. Checked for support and uninstalled game as suggested. Games remain unplayable. After starting the app goes through several screens saying it is starting but returns
    to home screen every time.

    After every update, no signal to screen for days.

    Reset your video settings to default...it might even be your TV. The Xbox resets its video settings and then sets it back to whatever it was when you update.

    The Xbox doesn't power up like normal. I've turned the tv off and on, it searches for a signal but can't find one.

    Is there a way to do a "hard reset"?

    Black Screen on Live TV

    Despite all the updates this situation still persists. Every time I switch from one function to TV, I get the loss of signal black screen for several seconds up to a minute. Day one model, Comcast is provider via HDMI. Cable has been replaced and Motorola
    tuner. Increasingly frustrating as this has been going on since launch.

    You sound like you may have a different problem that the one added by the update. Because for the normal black screen bug the sound still works.

    Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

    Have you tried plugging into a different HDMI socket?

    It sounds like there is no picture or sound being received by your tv which means either your TV, HDMI cable or console is faulty.

    If you have any other HDMI devices then try plugging them into the tv to rule out a faulty tv
