After changing display recovery at settings my tv crashed

Hello,

When i wanted to play a game on my xbox the resolution was not so good.

At the system settings i changed at display a setting from display recovery.

After that moment my tv wouldnt recognize any computer or laptop any more all other things as my blueray player work fine with hdmi.

When the mechanic was here he needed to place a new motherboard at my tv.

How can it be that i can screw up my tv by edditing one setting at my xbox?

Wat if it happens again the bill from the mechanic was really expensive.

MY display turns on and off or stays off. It crashes on netlix and games. This started after the system crashed after I removed a game disc that had no way to exit. I tried resetting by turning off and pressing the eject button and all that as well as unplugging
the power cord and leaving off. I also restored to factory settings but when i tried to watch tv it crashed while installing that app.

No, you cannot change the interface. Maybe try changing some of your TV display settings?

Hello sir, I terribly sorry this happened. As one coming from a bit of a lower income family, I can certainly understand the need to know the money you just spent won't be wasted a month down the road! But I can almost guarantee that this was not due to
the Xbox settings being changed! It's the same thing as switching from regular spike TV channel in 480p to spike hd in 1080p or 720p depending on tv! It's most likely a manufacturing error I bought a best buy brand hd smart tv and less than a month later I
unplugs it for the first time to duasyt and it would not turn back on! It was due to faulty power parts on interior! Unfortunately these things happen, even the most reliable stuff breaks sometimes! I do not know how old your TV the brand or the model, but
I can assure this should have been covered under your warranty, and to replace the motherboard it would have have to be an internal tv problem faulty manufacturing! And a big problem this doesn't usually happen from swithcing settings! I suggest you call that
mechanic "boss" and ask for a partial refund! I suggest as a renowned service and hihly reliable and fast you call geek squad, or 1-800-469-9269 or 1-800-4my-xbox before calling a repair technician! I'm fairly sure it could've been fixed without a new motherboard!

The Xbox 360 uses standard display modes (480/720/1080). Enable Display Discovery so your Xbox can detect your TV's EEID and configure the best possible display settings. It's very unlikely that the Xbox caused your TV to do that. If it did, consider spending
money on a quality TV. I'm low income, and I do my research before purchasing, and buy from trusted brands (Westinghouse, LG, Samsung, Sony, etc)

After i changed from "recommended" to "hdmi" in the display options(console settings) and set resolution to 1080p 60hz (my tv is FHD) problem is solved.

I found a temporary fix. Here's how:

At your home screen click on "My games and apps"

After make your way to "settings"

In settings click on "display & sound"

In display & sound, change tv connection from "detect" to "hdmi"

Once this is done, there will be an option in tv resolution to change from 640x480 to 1080p.

I hope this helps. It worked for me.
