The first time i noticed the issue was after the update from 02/08, while transfering a game from internal to external hdrive.

It always abort transfer in a different %.

In tiny games, after some tries, it transfers it completly but dont function correctly, like its corrupted.

I formatted my 2Tb WesternDigital external HD, lost all the content, but the problem was solved.

But last 15/09 there was a new update and the problem started again, interrupting my transfers and corrupting my data.

I cant delete all my drive at each update. There´s got to be another solution.

Please help.

How to transfer everything from the Halo console to the GOW3 Console?

The data transfer cable will not plug into the Halo hard drive. The transfer cable evidently cannot tranfer dater from a console with an internal hard drive to another console with an internal hard drive. I will have to transfer my data to an older external
hard drive, then transfer it to the Gears console. I just hope I do not lose any data.

Can't transfer or copy game saved data from internal hard drive to external hard drive.

Hello everyone!

I had to get an external hard drive because I ran out of space on my Xbox One (for some reason it only came with 365 GB of internal hard drive space). However, I transferred all my games to my 2 TB external hard drive, but it didn't transfer over the saved
game data and therefore the games that require it, don't load the saved data because the game is on the external HD while the saved data is on the internal HD.

Is there a way to transfer the saved data from the internal HD to the external HD?

Or should I just transfer the games that I want to play back to the internal hard drive because there is no fix for this issue?

Sorry to hear it. Can you please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down then unplug all wires from it and let it sit for 5 minutes to see if that helps.

System Update Recommend Transferring all game saves and files to external hard drive and using the working internal hard drive as a back up drive that way the game saves and files are portable and you don't lose any data from the internal hard drive.

The external hard drive was around 20% full. After the I formatted the external hard drive it went down to 0% as everything was uninstalled. Thing is i tried transfering Battlefield 1 from the internal hard drive to the now empty external hard drive and
it started transferring. Battlefield 1 was one of the games that just stopped installing/transferring when i wanted to move from the internal to the external hard drive so i might of fixed the problem. Now i am just concerned that the games that were uninstalled
will not have anyting saved and i will have lost everything.

I get this issue sometimes for games. Usually they install to the internal hard drive and automatically transfer to an external, if you have one, and it sounds like you do.

Sometimes my Fortnite updates even force install to my internal instead of external, but transfer over once it's complete and any downtime is over. It could also be a developer preference, yes, where they'd rather you have the game on an internal hard-drive
instead of an external, maybe to prevent data loss if your external is disconnected randomly or incorrectly.
