After August Update consistent lag every 10 seconds or so?

We are 5 for 5 on Xbox One Consoles after the August update developing a weird lag that will freeze the screen for a split second and then go back to normal & sometimes semi choppy game play.

Xbox One #1, #2 and #3 updated on the 19th of August and saw the lag in Black Ops 3 immediately. Xbox One #4 didn't update on the 19th and gameplay was flawless, absolutely no symptoms. Xbox One #4 updated to the patch on August 22nd, rebooted the console,
and then immediately saw the lag in Black Ops 3 and Forza, the same exact symptoms as Xbox One #1-3. Went upstairs and tested on Xbox One #5, saw the same results as Xbox One #4, no issues prior to update, then immediately after Minecraft and Roblox had this
weird split second freeze.

What's the deal? Is anyone else experiencing this problem? We are 5 for 5 here, in different locations with same results.

When playing Black Ops 3 multiplayer, get a hitch or stutter every 7-10 seconds. Only happens when in a party. Xbox One S with or without Kinect Sensor plugged in. Started after August Update.

 

Xbox Live Severe Lag Issue

The amount of lag is a consistent hiccup every minute or so, it's tiny but it's consistent

I am currently suffering from the same thing. It goes across all games that I play on my xbox. It's really aggravating. After reading this, I can assume it must be something with the update. Thanks for the info, I posted a similar topic yesterday.

 

Hopefully Microsoft can provide a fix pretty quickly. Appears this is hitting a bunch of people and games are not playable.

 

Disabled some useless stuff running in the background and also disabled user content as mentioned by another forum in CoD and still seeing random stutter lag. No word from Microsoft yet and I know we aren't the only ones with the issue. Sucks

 

Thanks for keeping tabs on it. I agree, I'm sure there are some others out there who are affected as well. I've been taking a break from xbox until another update.

 

Hey guys -

Sorry to hear about the issue. Are you guys playing using a wired or wireless connection? If it's wireless, are you able to try a wired connection to see if that improves your experience? Also, if you haven't yet, let's try a full network/console power cycle.
Please unplug everything from your network for at least 5 minutes while also unplugging your Xbox One console for the same amount of time. Reconnect your home network then connect your Xbox One and try again.

Hopefully that resolves the issue but if not, post and we'll try some further steps.

 

I see the same thing, wired, has worked fine since the beginning until now. A reboot seems to clear it for a few hours.

 

No luck as of yet. Wired and wireless. Only happened after I had to update the console about a little over a week ago. Maybe just have to wait for another update? Or should I try a full system reset?

It looks like WithinRafael had success with power cycling his Xbox One console. If you haven't yet, please give that a try as well as resetting your home network.

Let us know how that goes.

 

Still no good. For now I've been grinding through it, there are times where it becomes unplayable, and I have game clips as evidence. I am more curious rather than upset about what the issue is.

 

Same issue with my xbox one after the update on August 19. I noticed it right away on Black Ops 3. Every single multiplayer match since the dashboard update im getting that little stutter/lag while playing every 10 seconds. I did all the Hard resets and
Power Cycling of the console. Aswell as clearing Cache and reinstalling the game. Im on a wired connection 200 Mb down 20 Mb up and 0 packet loss. In Black Ops 3 i have 4 green bars of connection low ping time and no packet loss either. Yet every match i have
that little stutter/lag. like the screen pauzes for a split second. After some testing i noticed that it happens to me when i am in a Xbox one Party Chat with friends. When i jump out of the Party Chat The game seems to run Smooth again. So i jumped back in
the Party chat again and the little stutter/lag is back every 10 seconds or so. I really hope this can be resolved soon

 

I was reading on the Black Ops 3 Forums. And i found a topic on there from someone discribbing exactly the same problem im having that The Xbox Live Party Chat is causing the Skips/stutter in the game every 10 seconds. As soon as your out of Party Chat The
skips/stutter is gone. I havent tested this on other multiplayer games yet but my connection is fine on console and in games. But the stutter remains while in Party chat. I dont know if this is caused by a bug in the dashboard update on August 19 or the Black
Ops 3 game update on August 16 since i downloaded both updates on the same day. I really hope this can be fixed with a dashboard or game update. I hope Support can have a look at this game stutter/skipping issue that happens every 10 seconds while in Party
Chat.
