After 3 months of owning X1 I am extremely happy I got one.

I don't blame you @D33dles I would never buy a so called "Eyetoy" my self lucky it's not forced on me and I can just opt out.

I also hope as time goes on X1 will prove it's value, if it does I highly doubt it will be based upon the Kinect it will be based upon the games and online experience.

Am I the only one that would be extremely p'eed off if they bring out a 1TB box so soon after release?
So our day one editions are out of date 3 months after release??!

That's a real kick in the teeth to the early adopters in my opinion.

I agree with Submit2Mywill I don't really care if my X1 arrives on day one. I am just happy knowing I will have it at least within a week of its launch instead of waiting 2 to 3 months for stores to have them in stock.

 

@xenomorph, resolution is my only gripe, otherwise i have no issues with the system even the 100$ extra i don't mind, and i like kinect features.

But not being able to hit 1080/60 on multiplats while the other system can, i see it an issue especially when it is combined with a 100$ extra.

I know many don't care about this and i respect that, but i believe ppl who do not care about resolution should also respect ppl who find it an issue and want to *** about it, even for 100000 times

 

@Burst Axe, maybe i should have waited, i got day one edition, with Ryse and Btf 4.

But i pre-ordered the system based on what MS marketed, the "power of X1", "the power of the cloud", "3 x1 in the cloud for every x1" even MGS5 was showcased on X1, that was impressive, but they fell short, and now the head of their studios is confirming
it, then yes they have a huge part to blame.

And tell you what, if they keep it up like this, install base of X1 will shrink more and more, the 300,000 servers will be collecting dust, only handful of them used to account for what is left of the community

 

So 3 months on that's it they fell short. Xbox is called Xbox for a reason. DX or Direct X or Direct X Box. It was designed for DX12 and Tiled Resources. Doesn't get more honest than that from MS. Trouble is its 3months on and DX12 TR are not here yet and
only in early stages with Ryse and Forza 5. PS4 is basically a Mini PC using mostly PC type Dev tools and features and can utilise OpenGL. Understand this and you understand the X1. Sure 3rd party may not be interested in DX12 utilisation and you may see the
trend continue, but it is MS business to create and make Devs want to use it and I'm sure they will when they see what it does and if MS make the dev for it easy.

I though all the ps4 were out of stock? That's what we keep being told by Sony fans.

 

Some stores are still out that's because they sell them fast but if you want one at this point they can be found. It's almost March

 

I respect your opinion. I can agree that MOST of the value on a gaming system will be on games and online experience. I own a PS4, and would have said at both consoles reveal that Sony was going to blow M.S. out of the water this generation. Rethinking it
after months of owning both consoles, my opinion would be Microsoft was smart to include include (Force!) the Kinect with the system; I do believe they could have handled the marketing SO much better than they did. It is widely believed that Sony was going
to include the EyeToy with the PS4 at first. Maybe they should have? As it stands now I know "I" like the Kinect features and there is a possibility they may design a game that takes advantage of it.

Last generation I had 1 PS3 and multiple 360 s around the house. When I start replacing those 360 s with next gen...I really don't know if it will be with PS4 or X1. If you would have asked me that question months ago, the PS4 had the edge.

For me it isn't that you want 1080p/60fps OR expect it; it is the way you come across. From the posts I've read from you, you come across as ONLY negative; and I believe that is why some have a problem with your posts. I don't know about your financial situation,
but if the X1 is that bad...sell it. Even if it's at a loss, take it as a learned experience and move on. Or keep it just for exclusives. They will make more games that meet your required benchmark; it will take a bit to figure out the nuances of a new system.
The extra $100.00 could be justified just for a better online experience, the GREAT Skype camera, or the convenient voice controls.

On a side note; if I appear to be rambling, it's because I'm operating on two hours of sleep from the night before and have been up 16 hours so far today. Lol. Maybe I'll die laughing tomorrow after rereading my posts. Lol.

Maybe i come across as negative i don't know, but i just state things as they are i do not sugar coat anything after i am a consumer not the salesperson.

But whenever there is a thread about x1 performance ppl jump over bashing and smashing the person complaining even if there are 100 threads of the same, who does not like it can simply ignore it. But everyone seems to be a blind brand ambassador arguing
on how it is all bout the game when actually complaints are raised against multiplats.

 

Here's the way I see it. Last generation I bought all multi platform games on the 360, why because they were better. So for this generation I bought all my multi platform games for the ps4, why because they are better.

I just like to get the best bang for my buck.

I remember last generation everyone did this doom and gloom for the ps3 and it survived just fine. The X1 is going to have very strong sales and life span.

I bought my X1 on Nov 23/13 (Saturday) on the MS Canada website. It was shipped within 5 days. I can not be happier. To hear people blame MS for just plain out right gripping.... (shakes head)..

You don't see false advertising from MS? Let me refresh ur memory "power of the cloud", "for each x1 there is 3 in the cloud", "if we give sony 30% more power we will be crazy" newsflash they have so far 50% more power.

MGS5 runs 1080 vs 720 and moreover on ps it supports weather system do u understand how much different the game is?!!

Why the blind defence for MS? That is what i don't understand.

 

^^ At the end of the day, you paid the $500 for the X1. No gun was held to your head (at least I hope not)...... No one to blame but yourself.
