Affiliate marketing in the next gen era

Let's talk about online commercials, you know those little banners and links you see floating around your dashboard or game streaming services. Those ads are created under affiliate marketing strategies that aim to reach the gamers and their pockets, yet
sometimes the ads themselves are not even remotely connected to the gaming services.

Todays online gaming represents a revenue that generating billions of dollars annually. By design, it’s a field that encourages engagement and interaction, bringing advertisers lucrative opportunities waiting to be explored.

As gamers do you think these marketing strategies are getting more aggresive with time or you are indifferent to them? Should there be a mechanism in place to regulate online ads?

These ads really bother me because they're games like LOL that are not interesting and yet I'm being bombarded with them, the truth as soon as I can take them away, they are really annoying but I must accept that if it's from a game that interests me then
I get to leave

I'm fine with the dashboard ads as long as they are related to gaming.

I don't mind marketing as long as people are educated about it. Sometimes uneducated people are exploited. Some would say, "That's their own fault", but really it isn't always their fault. There are inequalities that exist. Certain populations of people
are targeted, and that is where marketing can become unethical.

It honestly doesnt bother me, you can find some pretty cool things with the banners and ads!!!

I personally despise the aggressive marketing that we come across but I understand the need for advertising. I just wish there was a way to tone it down a bit.
